H-3 Windward Drive

One of the most breathtaking drives on Oʻahu begins when you enter the H-3 tunnel through the Koʻolau Mountains. As you exit the tunnel on the Windward side near Kaneʻohe, the mountains suddenly open into lush green valleys that many visitors say look like scenes from Jurassic Park.

North Shore Coastal Drive

Driving from Haleʻiwa toward Sunset Beach and Turtle Bay offers one of the most scenic ocean drives in Hawaiʻi. Along the way you’ll pass famous surf beaches, shrimp trucks, and some of the best sunset views on the island.

Pali Highway Scenic Route

The Pali Highway connects Honolulu to the Windward side of the island and climbs through dramatic mountain cliffs. The nearby Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout offers panoramic views of the Koʻolau cliffs and Kaneʻohe Bay.
